A history of financial bubbles: Part 1

Given that we are currently in the middle of what everyone is calling the AI bubble, it might just be the right time to revisit some of the bubbles in the past. It will be interesting to see what lessons from centuries ago still hold true to this day. In part 1 of the history of bubbles, we start in Netherlands in the 1600s and end with a steam-powered speculative bubble in Britain two centuries later.
